Tony Shalhoub is that quirky guy on Monk. OK, he's not quirky, his character is. Shalhoub was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin on October 9, 1953. Shalhoub not only stars in the USA Network television show "Monk," he's also the executive producer. The native Wisconsinite plays an obsessive compulsive private detective. Shalhoub won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series in 2003 and in 2005 for the role, as well as a Golden Globe in 2003 and a SAG Award in 2004 and 2005.
